Iowa Arboretum

"The Iowa Arboretum is a serene location for your wedding. We have both indoor and outdoor rental facilities. Choose from the Hughes Education Center, the Beckwith Grand Pavilion, the Jones Memorial Gazebo, Waterside Garden or any one of our beautiful gardens to make your day memorable. We will also keep the Hughes Education Center available at no extra cost in the event of inclement weather. Arboretum staff, working with the wedding party, will make the final decision as to ceremony location should the weather be uncooperative."


Val Air Ballroom

"Val Air Ballroom is a historic live music venue featuring a diverse range of artists located in West Des Moines, Iowa. Originally an outdoor dance venue in the 1940s, the space was eventually enclosed to form a venue space for music, school dances, and the like."

The Monroe

"The name "The Monroe" was intentionally crafted to incorporate the Abbott Events brand and experience. Following suit with The Harlow and The Bardot - named after legendary actresses Jean Harlow and Brigitte Bardot, we choose to model our newest venue after the enduringly iconic Marilyn Monroe.

Known for her timeless beauty, elegant simplicity, & warm disposition, we strive to embody and share these same characteristics with everyone who comes through the front doors of The Monroe."


DM Heritage
